An exclusive Roam experience is driving an electric quad bike through the Riyadh Dunes. Two to a quad, you'll tear off towards the cobalt blue horizon on these eco-friendly vehicles. Afterwards, why not try the addictive sport of sandboarding? Think snowboarding, but without the cold. Strap on a sandboard—the bottom waxed to ease your passage—and set off down one of the immense dunes, the warm wind in your hair. Seemingly modern, this sport was in fact practiced by the ancient Egyptians.

Have a cultural encounter with locals in the dunes. Learn about their day-to-day existence in this starkly beautiful landscape, how they thrive in this extreme environment, and the unique traditions and customs that shape their lives. It's possible that, during your time in the desert, you'll encounter wild camels or even Bedouins.
