Days 1 - 2

As you gently descend to AlUla airport, you’ll be drawn to the window for your first glimpse of this unique region. The contrast of the red desert with its jagged mountains and shaded valleys, and the emerald sea of date palms that mark out the oasis. It’s a scenic taster preparing you for an enthralling and varied adventure.

AlUla is a place of deep history and stunning natural heritage. Prepare to travel back in time as you follow in the footsteps of the Nabataeans and the medieval incense caravans. But this isn’t just a place of memory, as you’ll discover in its outstanding restaurants, luxurious resorts, and at ultra-modern Maraya Theatre cultural hub.

Spend two full days discovering incredible AlUla. See Hegra’s historic treasures on a Land Rover safari or have a private guide conjure up the ancient kingdom of Dadan. Go climbing (with an 85-metre freefalling swing for the fearless) or see incredible vistas on a helicopter tour. Discover the UNESCO-protected oasis, and spot Arabian Ibex in the Sharaan Nature Reserve.

Days 3 - 5

A four-hour flight delivers you to the Saudi coastline—the gateway to the Red Sea Project. From here your journey continues by seaplane or chartered boat. Adjust from AlUla’s scarlet-hued sandstone to sapphire-bright seas during the under-an-hour transfer. The horizon soon fills with the palms and shimmering contours of Ummahat Island.

Ummahat is the exclusive island home of two of the Kingdom’s newest ultra-luxe resorts: the St. Regis Red Sea Resort and Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve property. A pearl of the Red Sea, Ummahat’s calm turquoise seas are bright with coral and wonderfully biodiverse. The resorts’ spectacular architecture—by Kengo Kuma and Fosters + Partner—serve to complement Ummahat’s natural beauty.

Welcomed and checked-in, it’s time to spend a few days in paradise. The water, naturally, takes centre stage. Sail, paddle board, kayak, windsurf, or eBoard inside of Ummahat’s controlled marine reserve. Take advantage of some of the finest diving on the planet, or simply walk barefoot along the sugar soft sands, the warm breakers washing your feet.

Enhance your inner harmony with a rejuvenating spa experience. The resort spa is the inner sanctum of the sanctuary that is Ummahat Island. Within this serene, fragrant space, select from a range of signature treatments that will enhance your vacation-state-of-mind. Enjoy a couples massage with your partner, or book into a fitness class before a refreshing dip in the pool.

If the explorer itch wasn’t fully scratched in AlUla, it is possible to schedule a transfer back to the Red Sea coast. Enjoy an excursion exploring the compelling desert hinterland of the Red Sea. At the end of your half day or day excursion, return to your island paradise in time for the kaleidoscopic sunset.

Day 6

On your departure day, rise to another gentle dawn alighting on the islands. Enjoy a relaxed breakfast while you take in the paradisical panorama. Recall your extraordinary experiences over the past days, from desert safaris to sailing the archipelago. You’ll then be taken by private transfer to the Red Sea Global airport for your journey home.
